Like WS Crianza on a good night. It’s smooth, tempting but not that impressive - a Sat night TV host.

Dark red, yet purple and clear at the rim (unusually). Open for two hours. Last bottle. Nose fantastic, all sweet blackcurrant fruit. Bit sharper in the mouth and starting to thin and lose balance. Tannin dominating on the swallow, but blackcurrant re-emerges on the finish. Not as striking nor as harmonious as it was in its youth. Not ageing as well as I'd hoped. In future will buy enough to drink within two years of it coming on sale.

Wine Education Service - Ribera del Duero (Imperial College) : Just opaque, still youthful. A hint of oak, very fruity - blackcurrant. Slight mustiness which disappears, fruity.

Wonderful full fruit, blackcurrant and warmth. Bottle just disappeared between the two of us. Easy, full flavoured and thoroughly enjoyable.

Finding this much more pedestrian. Lacking refinement and subtlety that struck me a year ago.

Bloody maahhvellous. Really, this is outstanding value. House wine.
