Just an exquisitely made wine. Beautiful freshness from the cooler region/altitude. Great concentration of raspberry, red plum, and red cherry. Will age gracefully for 10+ years

An old friend introduces and old friend here. As we are leaving dinner our friend James Handford just offered us a glass of this old pal , a vintage we haven’t tried yet but a wine we have crossed paths many times . Felt a bit cold, restrained and definitely this needs time to open up and develop and at this stage is a bit one dimensional on the palate but at least the nose steps up. Pretty ever young …

Med/- garnet color (2014 medium ruby color). Gentle oak aroma, med tannin, dark berry but more mineral. Modest exotic black pepperiness.
