A bit simple, and surprisingly less revealing of its roots, this has not progressed much if at all since my last bottle. Maybe drinking after a 2004 Peter Michael Les Pavots did not make it easy.

Very nice on day one, interesting aromatic, a bit of barnyard, dark cherries, some VA. Balanced, juicy, fresh on the palate. Less so on day two, when it became thicker.

Not sure here. Needs more time? Not integrated. A lot of fruit. Maybe it will come together, maybe not.

A deeply satisfying natural wine of depth and character. Somehow both floral and earthy and the perfect compliment to a plate of salumi and a bowl of pasta e ceci. Wish I had more!

Very dark purple, opaque. Lots of pine, resin and black fruit. Full bodied, rich piney black fruit. Rich long dry finish. Big, rich tart black fruit flavor.

Lots of fruits in the nose. Taste right of the bottle was closed. Needed some decanting which tells me it will still get better with a few years in the cellar. Nevertheless a great wine with potential. 89-90

Unlike any Barbera I have previously had. Literally explodes in your mouth with big sappy, tart, spicy, cherry and pomegranate fruit. Long finish. This is from Emilia Romagna!!! Organic. 14.5% ABV.

Quite barnyard animals on opening, some paint/acetone type aromas, pretty austere on the palate at first then opening up to more fruit after about half an hour in the glass. This wine needs food (meat in sauce) and time....
