I recall enjoying this, but unfortunately didn't take (or recall) more detailed notes. Looking forward to some different Reynvaans from 2010+ which I have yet to try.

Coravin # 1 - for the first 30 mins strong Cayuse sulfur funk that blows off for the most part. Pure blueberry compote, mellow tannins and a touch of earth. Delicious.

Last bottle of this wine and vintage, but probably the best we've had! Dark garnet, very slight brown at the edges. Fully mature. Deep, dark, earthy aromas, burnt wood, roasted meat. Full body, very round and smooth, blackberry flavors with French oak. No significant tannin. Soft long aftertaste, slightly hot on the finish. This is at its peak, no need to age it further, but it should hold for several more years. We liked it better than a 2010 Bionic …

This is perfect now. Big fruit, Smokey aftertaste. Very smooth, but starting to lose some of its tannins. I'm going to drink my last one this year before it's too late

Earthy nose of cedar, tobacco, cigar box and dried cherry. Beautiful balanced, spice and dried fruits. Pomegranate. Could pass for a good young côte-rôte. Nice acidity. I want more.

Wonderful. Remarkable nose, smashingly good fruit. The finish is a bit truncated though.

Awesome - blind, this could be a LaLa côté rôtie from Guigal. Bacon and blueberry. This is why I love Syrah!

Still tight and grippy after a two hour decant. Patience will be rewarded.

Wow, this wine blew me away. I had it like six years ago and liked it, but, wow, time has done wonders for this Syrah. I decanted it for an hour and then sipped all day, and it just got better and better. Smells like so many different meats (salami, pepperoni, grilled lamb) over top of blueberry and roasted plum, and I get notes of black pepper glaze, graphite and violets. Rich and velvety texture, full but fresh with medium …

Rich funky with lots of earth, spice, bacon and funk going on on the nose. Had old world types of characteristics and good meaty dark fruit

Had opened for 5 hours and had great meaty nose with lots of spice and black pepper. Tons of blueberry, pepper and meat and rich finish

Took a little bit to really come to life. Had decanted for an hour, and wish I had given it 3+. Once it came together smelled like Bacon, blood, Black Pepper with just a hint of Blackberries. Tasted very old-world, but the alcohol shows through at almost 15%. Very good wine, likely still need another 5-10 years

This wine is drinking excellent now. At least an hour of decanting is recommended. Texture: smooth, silky, and full bodied. Dark berry with a sweet herbal finish on the nose. Blueberry-Pommegranite on tongue with herbal notes. The almost 15% ABV shows itself with a comforting warm ending.

Nose has meaty and earthy aromas with a hint of sawdust. Layers of red fruit with black tea, meat, and salty notes. Dark fruit with loads of minerals, peppery notes, and hints of red cherry form the finish. Less oaky than the "On the Rocks" from the same year.

Rich plums and currants. Finishes with a meaty core that gives way to a long herbal tail.

Decanted for 2 plus hours, after which it was lovely. Nose phenomenal. At first palate didn't live up, but over time loved it.

Funky with tar, orange peel, earth, mineral and subtle red fruit. Gained complexity and enjoyability over air time. Weird and fascinating wine. Not scored due to lack of experience with Rocks terroir.
