Cantina Castello della Dionisia Gattinara Spanna Riserva

Reddish amber in appearance. Musk, saddle leather, tobacco, earth, tar, light red berries, dried flowers, iron, blood. Nice acidity, and a lingering finish. Gains weight and intensity with air (and the score keeps getting revised up!). Was far more concentrated and flavorful after 2.5 hours in the decanter (at which point we ran out!).
