Very flashy in typical Ramonet style, the oak is quite shouty. Otherwise classic soft, Chassagne style. I've got to say after some very bracing Champagnes and next to PYCM and Tissot this did not quite hit the way I would have hoped. I think on it's own it may stand up a bit taller but in the context of the meal this felt flabby, fat, unfocused, no tension whatsoever. Perhaps the mouthfeel was even a bit soapy. I vastly prefer …

Initial funk that blew away! Initially thought this was a little over oxidized but it just got better and better. Really started to open up after abt an hour and was glorious

Did not enjoy as much as my last bottle. Very powerful wine. Richer style of CM but felt it had too much baby fat and lacked enough tension / acidity to balance out the rounder flavor profile. Lots of lemon, minerality and flowers. I would either decant this for a while or let it sit in the cellar for at least 3 more years.

Wow. This is right in the zone. Medium body. Crisp yet creamy. Absolutely perfect balance. Very nice weight and depth on the palate. Exceptional.

Couleur assez prononcée. Fruits jaunes, côté floral. Belle intensité et texture assez riche mais avec un petit côté minéral qui fait en sorte que la fraîcheur est la, c’est bien. 90-91

Rich, opulent fruit, nicely balanced with sharp acidity. My first time with this producer, would buy again!

An Epic Summer Wine Weekend - Year 3; 6/28/2024-6/30/2024 (Muskoka, Ontario, Canada) : This was given 24 hours of air. It pours medium straw in the glass. The nose is wildly complex and tremendously expressive aromas are of candy cane, vanilla custard, candied mint, lemon, chalk, hay, and struck match. The palate enters on lovely custardy lemon. Acid is medium plus with lovely chalk and cold cream along the long finish. All in all, this this was astoundingly good. One …

92 Color is fairly dark for such a young wine, pears, honey, some yellow orchard fruit too. The palate is dense and superbly textured, fairly ripe but just enough acidity to …

Medium body. Lemon cream and vanilla with a touch of honey and slight tangerine on the finish. Very nice balance, medium+ depth, some minerality on the finish. Very nice indeed.

blind Creamy, austere and balanced. So elegant but anyway so much power. The way I like Burgundy in white, not too reductive. 98

Lovely bright yellow. Expressive nose of ripe fruit. Classic stone fruit palate in a richer, riper style. Very beautifully balanced with a nice complex mid palate and a medium long finish. Medium + acidity, not the higher acid linear style. Drinking deliciously now but with many more years ahead.

Medium to full body. Robe almost showing an oxidative color but this is not at all present on the palate. Very slight reduction on the nose along with a very faint tropical coconut note. On the palate this is big, real big, with expressive fruit and some nice acidity. There’s very nice weight and depth to this but some will view it as too much. This is a big Chassagne - 13.5pct abv but it feels like 14.5/15.

Mouchonnat Annual Off-Tasting - Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Beaune) : Walk around tasting. Floral with lots of ripe apple in front, with pear, quince and lemon curd. Dancing textures add brightness to a fleshy wine, with enough acidity and more minerality adding elegance. Very good length. Good young, as soon as another year or three. Also identical to how it tasted yesterday... which is a good thing.
