Medium (+) intensity aromas of apple, lime, biscuit, peach, yogurt, hazelnut, toffee, honey. Beautiful and fresh. Silky taste, with freshness and high acidity, medium (+) body, medium alcohol, long finish. Outstanding wine.

Tart cherries, pomegranate, chocolate notes. Paired perfectly with a chocolate cake with raspberries. Not as fragrant as when I first had it but maybe because of glassware

Bronzing edges. But light garnet in color overall. Nose of cherry and forest floor. Cork was still beautiful! Subtle cranberries and cherry across the palate with a pleasing herbal finish. And it’s time to finish!

Still drinking fine, although appearing to be near the end of its peak window. Very light in color, and translucent. Cranberry, a little orange. Black tea appeared after 45 minutes.

Crisp and easy drinking. Nice high acidity, silky mouthfeel. Aromas of green apple, yeast and lemon right away with a honey like sweetness at the end.

Decanted for 20 minutes which allowed the wine to open. Clear medium violet color. Some darker red fruits and earth on the nose. The medium bodied palate showed lots of spice, black cherry, raspberry and earth - with nicely balancing acidity. A well-made OR Pinot that should hold for several years.

Nice wine, but time to drink up. Delicate, minerally, and not as much fruit at this stage compared to the past. Cork in great shape.

Return to Willamette; 7/2/2023-7/8/2023 (Portland & Willamette) : Number IV which doesn’t seem to have caught on in Cellar Tracker lingo but is how they are expressing the wines for themselves. Decanted for 25 minutes to allow the wine to open. Some light red fruit on the nose. The medium bodied palate showed the red fruit (mostly cherry), some earth and just a touch of spice. The acidity was balancing and any tannins were completely integrated. An easy drinking Oregon Pinot.

Colour is not dark, but a see through red with some granite. So smooth. Medium bodied and round, no hard edges. Dusty smooth tannins. Nice cherry and raspberry fruit with baking spices and smokiness. Touch of stony minerality.

Pinot's at Teresa's House (Maplewood, MN) : Tasted Blind. My second favorite wine of the night. Nice fruit featuring cherry and strawberry. Floral, flint, bramble, dust and earth. Medium plus finish and nice acidity. This has plenty left in the tank and should drink well through 2028. 93+ points (7 total points)

Sourdough bread. lemon, lime. Tangy with a nice acidity that really increases toward the finish. Medium + body, medium + acid with a "matte" finish. Great with Osetra Caviar

Has a nice, easygoing drinkability. Bright red berry and a touch of sweetness. A good food wine (paired with a citrus pork belly) that is ready to go.

Decanted for only 10 minutes and continued to improve during the dinner. Probably needs 20 - 30 minutes of decant time to show all its stuff. The color was a clear medium violet. Decanted 2 hours Initially offputting woody notes dissipated with second glass, developing into classical barnyard and cherry aromas. Palate showed similar development Significant bottle variation from last, possibly due to aging/source. At full RRP would have been very disappointing

The 2013 vintage wasn’t my favorite at the time of release but now, almost like the 2011 vintage, it is really starting to come into its own. Very delicious Oregon Pinot. Light, refreshing and well balanced. Earthy fruits and berries, with some vanilla notes on the nose. Thoroughly enjoyable right out of the bottle - I wish I had more.

Beautiful pale ruby color and with a slightly brown hue at the rim of the glass. The nose is spectacular - a mixture of fresh notes of red berries and warm notes of wood and vanilla. This is a wonderful wine. Technically speaking, the wine is clear without gas or sediment. It is a medium intensity ruby colored Pinot with a well-defined watery meniscus. On the nose, it is clean. The aromas are moderately intense, and I detect a very strong collection of red fruits like cherries, raspberries and stawberries. Two days tasting in Oregon; 3/13/2017-3/14/2017 (Willamette Valley, OR) : this had a really nice assortment of spice notes that were more prominent. much more complex and interesting than the evenstad, though not quite as concentrated. really like the spice here.

Moderate reddish purple. Raspberry, cherry, and earth on the nose with hints of cola and oak spice. Nice balance on the palate between red fruit, acidity, and unobtrusive oak. Aged 15 months in 64% new French oak, it comes in at 13.7% alcohol and is another lovely Domaine Serene vineyard specific Pinot. $90.

This is still bringin' it!...in all the best ways, including balance of fruit and earth, and the silky texture that great Pinot Noir should deliver. It has the substance to evolve for 10 to 12 plus years and last through 2035, or longer. 93-94.

My preference of a flight of 2013 DS Pinot Noirs by a slight margin over the Evenstad Reserve. The darkest fruited of the flight and probably the earthiest, the wine also features the satin texture that one looks for in wines on the variety; in a word, racy. A balanced and complex wine that will like develop over the next seven to ten years. Worth seeking out. 93-94.

Enjoyed this wine, always pleasing on the palate, cedar, juniper, and some citrus undertones that reminded me of a spiced mulled wine.
