Same as previous bottle. This is a Cab Franc base with pressed skins of Marquette and Petite Pearl grapes. Red colour, see through (not thick or inky). Aromas show raspberries, strawberries …. like a light jam. Also some blueberry compote. Mineral/stoney component, herbs/slight vegetal. Dry, chalky. Tannins are slight but not very noticeable. I can’t say I’ve drank another Ontario wine like this — definitely harkens to Italy and Spain with what I would wager is good and well controlled contact with the oak.
