Deep yellow. Apricot aromas. Medium+ weight. Tropical fruit, herb, good acidity, and a kernel of bitterness at the end. It's funny; I think I would have mistaken this for Gruner Veltliner. Very good and not yet done.

At Niemeijer with Liederlijk. First glass the best: nicely matured, typical riesling, some petrol. Strong. Went well with the huitres tiedes.

Disappointed by this wine that lacked the richness I associate with a smaragd as well as the lack of contrast between the acid and fruit that I expect from top grade Riesling. Not a bad wine but left me kind of meh. I will give my remaining bottle some more time in the cellar

Keywords: Austria + Wachau + Riesling + Smaragd + 2019 = Success! Pale straw with silver hints. Intense on the nose, peach, honey, yellow and exotic fruits. Minerality is the first and last impression. Complex and with excellent balance between acidity (7,0 g/L) and residual sugar (4,0 g/L).Juicy. Salty, Very long finish. Paired with sushi.

Medium yellow. Stone fruit and honeysuckle aromas. Full and powerful. Dry peach and a bit of grapefruit, fantastic acidity. All is great until an odd, impure finish that is earthy and somewhat metallic. This was not TCA and it ameliorated over time, being less noticeable when the wine was sipped in the context of food. I am actually not sure whether this strong sensation of dirt is a feature or a flaw, but for me, it definitely detracted from an …

Farbe gelblich. Geruch aromatisch. Im Mund etwas kurz und leicht bitterlich. Dennoch schöner Wein, der noch nicht zu alt ist!

Ingo's Birthday Clash 20.10.2018; 10/21/2018-10/22/2018 (Jörg Müller Sylt) : Ripe yellow stone fruits, creamy, broad but still with a good structure, precise finish

Double Decanted. Excellent! Big, powerful striking wine. Medium sweetness, approaching dry. Hard to tell this wine is 10+ years old. A slight grapefruit taste to this, but many other citrus flavors as well. No need to wait on this.

Golden color. A herbal and mineral driven nose with orchard flirts, some early petrol development, and subtle florals. I am not sure if it was the power of suggestion, but tarragon on the nose. This is medium to full bodied, but its acidity keeps its clean and very fresh. A powerful, yet precise and beautifully balanced wine that stays light on its feet. A great pairing for a tarragon and parsley based herb salad. At peak .

Herbs and spicy, wax, antique wood, petrol... yummie ;) a feast! All guests loved it, some liked the young 2015 more (especially women)

As others have observed remarkably intense, and barely relaxed after a couple of days. Needs 5 years plus I'd estimate. 90 for now, no doubt more in future.

Incredible Riesling. Almost painfully intense. Great acidity, minerality, bright fruit that seems to be constantly changing between tropical/red berry/pome...extremely complex and hard to pin down. I don't know how a wine this concentrated can be so weightless on the palate. Endless, building finish. I'm sure this will last, but I can't imagine it getting better than it is now.

My last bottle and glad as just starting to lean out - but still very enjoyable. Nose of aromatic peach/pineapple with hint of riesling diesel. The pineapple aromatics carry forward to the flavour with a good minerality, but lacks the viscous mouth feel of previous bottles finishing a bit lean ?crab apple. Drink up ASAP and enjoy while still showing ok. A 91+ at its peak.

Enjoyed over three days. Slightly dull, brass hued deep yellow, almost gold. Intruiging classic Austrian riesling nose of yellow and white orchard fruits, with a liberal dusting of minerality. Bitter subdued ripe peach/apricot entry, with a spicy, lanolin, smoky, slightly oxidized style. Dry, medium, though somewhat hollow finish. Its initial somewhat dull lifelessness, along with the cashew and caramel tones, tells me this is slightly closed still. I'd also guess this has some mild botrytis influence, with subtle honey and …

Medium gold. Beautiful understated nose: stone, minerals, peach pit, crushed white flowers - with a touch of peach and pineapple (grilled?) Quite austere on palate, very acidic: stone, pit fruit pits - bitter with extract. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 4/6, Finish - 4/6, Je Ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 14/20.

I had very high expectations for this... It´s either in a dumb fase, or at some point last something precious.. A bit to yellow in the glass which makes me a bit sceptic. Very muted on the nose, some citrus and wet mineralstone in the sun. Some crushed white flowers(hylleblomst?) coming now in hour three. Not a broad wine in the mouth, but quite firm without giving the extra nuances you would have hoped for. I´ll save a glass for …

Enjoyed over three days. Classic dry Riesling aromas of crisp apple, mineral and light petrol note. Palate is full of verve, crisp fruits and mineral notes. Over three days this did not lose it's edge or freshness. Crunchy and zippy. Terrific as an aperitif and with Asian food.

Beautiful nose, delicious ripe fruit, minerally depth; very elegant, perefectly balanced, intense and concentrated but simultaneously as fresh as a mountain stream by virtue of its scintillating acidity, dry but juicy, lovely bitters, fruit leans toward strawberry even. Top-notch, drinking perfectly but no hurry whatsoever, now - 2020.

A truly aristocratic dry Wachau Riesling from the famous terraced Kellerberg vineyard in Dürnstein, unquestionably one of the world's best Riesling sites. Clean straw yellow color with green reflections and an overwhelming nose of exotic fruit (mango, pineapple), peach and touches of honey melon and orange zest. The wine is still very young, but it is already more accessible than Knoll’s Riesling Schütt Smaragd 2007. Incredibly concentrated and powerful palate, dominated by ripe citrus fruit and spices, perfectly balanced by …

Starts out with bright white fruits, touches of honey and citrus - and then with time the minerality just develops and builds, until an hour later it feels like something that might have been carved out of a slab of rock. Power and depth with very little apparent weight, tremendous balance and length. Great wine.
