Clear medium ruby turning maroon at the rim. Intense cherry aromas, along with some floral and mineral aromas. Some orange as well. Some currant and green aromas in the mouth. Medium acidity, soft tannins, medium body.

Week-end à Paris; 9/25/2015-9/27/2015 (Paris - France) : A beautiful cherry color with purple hues . Fragrant and mineral. Easy drinking in the mouth, tamed and delicious accompanying a roast pork with garnish on the restaurant Ferme St. Simon in Paris. De un bello color cereza con reflejos violáceos. Fragante y mineral. En boca fácil de beber, domado y delicioso acompañando un asado de cerdo con guarnición en el restaurante Ferme St. Simon en París.

Second bottle is much the same as the first. Huge pepper on the attack, simple but pleasant and slightly sweet on the back (I mean that in the slightest way, not syrupy at all). I'd drink this now, don't think it will improve past this point.

Spicy with loads of pepper. Perfect with Mexican food. First wine we've had from the Canary Islands, and we were not disappointed. Value.

Too barnyard for my taste. Didn't enjoy.

Quick taste after 2012 and this is quite different, much leaner. Quite a bit of musty foliage on the nose hiding the fruit. Nice minerality.

My first Listan Negro. Pretty ruby color. There is something a little dusky/musky on the nose that is not unpleasant, but interferes with the rest of the nose. Also strawberry, smoke, cherry, cocoa powder (thanks Sleepyhaus for that descriptor - right on). Some berry and brambles on the palate. Medium body, acidity, alcohol, finish; medium- tannin. Not bad, but I prefer a nice cru Beaujolais in this style, price range.

Really an excellent wine and very good value. My first Canary Island wine and listan negro. Immense pepper up front similar to a pineau d'Aunis. However, while that grape can typically produce subsequent flavors and aromas of decomposing underbrush, this follows the pepper with strawberry, cocoa powder and smoke. Very nice, interesting, complex wine. The fruit and acid balance the non-fruit notes nicely and the weight is quite refreshing and light for such a complex wine. This is very nice.

Similar in taste profile to the 2012 7 Fuentes. Intensely earthy, peppery, and with great acid and tannic grip. Somewhat reminiscent of Marselan. Great mid palate, rounded and balanced. Subdued oak treatment. A unique wine, well worth looking into.

Creosote, black pepper, black raspberry in the nose, lighter in the mouth than smell suggests- medium bodied, balanced, with a smooth finish. Delicious now not sure what will happen with age.

The Dirty Dozen Tasting 2013 (Il Botaccio, London) : Smells of baked clay and scorched earth; lovely! Quite tight just not and fruit is a little on the jammy side but good acidity. 16+ 2014+
