Ripe white peach, apples, pears, wet stone, river rocks. Overall a good interplay between tree fruit, stone fruit and minerals here. Wears 6 years well. I don't think this will get any better. Drink now!

While I certainly can't breakdown all the elements of this bottle as the previous reviewer, I can agree that it is a compelling bottle. Sort of like a bottle of Gruner had an affair with a bottle of Sicilian white; lots of unexpected aromas and flavors all supported by bracing acidity and minerality. Or maybe like Sauvignon Blanc without the pyrazines. In any event, a nice complement to spicy foods.

One of the most compelling whites I’ve had in quite some time. Now if only I had another case lying around here �� Thankfully SommSelect (Ian Cauble’s gig) still has some more leftover from their initial offer a month ago. Delicate nose of overripe/bruised pear, overripe peach, granite/slate, mild white pepper, honeysuckle, jasmine, and slight menthol. On the palate restrained finesse with subdued candied tropical fruits, moist river rocks, and ever-so-slight citrus zest. Love this stuff. Paired well with yet …
