2019 vintage

The Fifth Annual Blind Tasting of American Pinot Noir : Retail $60. An inviting nose of candied and a bit "marmalade" cherry with a touch of strawberry rhubarb pie, even cranberry and clove. Yeah, a lot going on with the nose. Fruity and big on the palate with a wave of earth and tartness on the mid-palate. Impeccable balance and intrigue. Whoa. 93 points. www.thedrunkencyclist.com

2019 vintage

Fairly light color with a nose of sweet cherry and a hint of smokiness. Nothing delicate about the flavors of cranberry and wet stone. Pretty dry mouthfeel and a long finish. Tannin is pretty firm that lets you know this has plenty of structure to it.

2011 vintage

W duck and thanksgiving side dish leftovers. Great meal!!! Good combo. This is a good wine after 10 yrs; great fruit and body. This is very nice, you can taste some age, especially the earthiness. Good finish, great example of holding on to elkcove single vineyard wine is great.

2010 vintage

This has aged extremely well. The color has remained vibrant, no browning and the nose is sweet, earthy, and some wet oak is showing too. The mouthfeel is semi-dry with some pepper notes. It moves to some sweet cherry, blackberry, and cranberry fruits. The finish is long and shows some wet earthiness and oak influence. It remains sharp throughout.

W salmon - world series game 2 Dodgers Astros. This is not special. Nice color, nose and on palate OK. The fruit was good but just no depth. Certainly no good QPR as i had written on label “45”. Decent finish and nice sipping.

lovely floral nose of red fruit. Relatively light, transparent color. No brown! Bright red fruit dominated by cherry. A touch of eucalyptus. Probably peaking though I think it shoul improve for several more years.

Through the aerator into the glass for 1 hour, drank the remainder over the next couple hours. In the glass: Dark ruby, a slight brown tint, slow thin legs. On the nose: Tart raspberry, cherry, rosebushes, whiff of vanilla & tobacco. In the mouth: Medium mouth feel, light concentration of tart raspberry and all the nose, tannins well integrated, weenzy tart/bitter and some heat pokes through on the finish. Subtle flavors, if a little tart, still drinking well.

Popped and poured with broiled pork chops, but it actually tasted better AFTER dinner. Definitely getting the big bright cherry notes, and a lot of earth. "Mellow" is the best one-word description I can think of for this wine.

Red fruit and eucalyptus on the nose. Fruit very toned on the palate with reasonable acid and modest length. Hints of spice. A light fruity pinot with slightly chew but polished tannins. Has enough structure to age a bit or drink now.

This is a wonderful expression of Pinot Noir. The red cherry fruit is ripe, concentrated and tasty. It is followed with just the right amount of earth. It is so soft and gentle in the mouth and the flow is very even keeled from the beginning to the end. The tannins are very well integrated.
