No formal note. I was afraid this may be on the way down. It needed a little time to open up and it had plenty of acidity and tannins left for 12 years old. Very nice surprise. I'd drink it sooner than later if you have any left. Nice browning meniscus.

Decanted for 1 hr. This wine is a blend consisting of 70% Cabernet, 22% Cabernet Franc and 8% Merlot. In the glass, this wine exhibited a dark purple color with aromas of ripe blackberries, black raspberries and huckleberries with hints of herbs, spices and chocolate. Soos Creek Tasting (The Wine Alley, Renton, WA) : Lots of alcohol and metal on the nose. Taste has some spice, ripe fruit, but still alcohol across the midpalate. Definitely a cab flavor, zing on finish. Better with cheese. $30
