Domaine Sainte Rose Les Derniers Cépages

It's somewhat crude, but then again it is pure mourvedre. A little minerality and a good deep fruitiness overlaid by scents of the ground. But a very nice find at this price to accompany rustic, meaty food. Will try with cassoulet.

Nice and earthy, a little aggressive around the edge of the palate and on the finish. Brambly and mineral, deep coloured and good value at a smidgeon under £7. Will buy again at that price.

Nose of dark cherries and a little touch of chocolate, a palate of more cherry, black fruit and white pepper. Interesting, good value wine that will probably benefit from another couple of years in the bottle.
