This wine was very closed even with an hour decant. Ran though the iFavine for 2 minutes and what a difference. Intense aromas of cassis broke though, with hints of cherry and slight hints of anise. Still tight across the palate with a nice lingering finish. This is a very nice wine and definitely needs lots of air or 3 to 4more years in the cellar to show its best.

Deep and dark. Lots of blue and black fruit. Consumed over 3 hours, and the last glass was the best. This was very good, but it has lots of room to improve.

Inky dark color. This wine is perfect for patio sitting on a cool Fall night. Nothing petite about it. Big, masculine, and lots of tannins. Blueberries and licorice. The long finish provides a hint of pepper. Well balanced. The 2012 is still my favorite, but with time this should improve even more.
