Louis Jadot Beaujolais

Who knew a Beaujolais this old could still be drinkable? Not great but still very drinkable, no hint of madeiration or vinegar. Much lighter after 24 years. We got a number of wines from a friend who doesn’t drink much wines, all of which are red and 20-40 years old and decent but not spectacular wines. Fading, but still drinkable. Wet sock and funky, decaying red fruit on the nose. The palate is still fairly fresh and bright, just not much there for fruit and its natural elegance.
