Wish more CdP tasted like this. Beautiful raspberries. Unlike others, I did not get bitterness nor a lot of power. This was quite delicate and quaffable.

First sandler wine I have not enjoyed. Bitter and dark with acidic undertones. Left half a bottle to try on day two and no change.

Dark garnet pushing black. Excellent herbs and spices across the palate. Dark cherry and a tannic blast follows the attack. Big green note during the finish. Well built in the style of age worthy Grenache from southern France. This requires more age to blossom. It's tasty just aggressive.

Popped and poured. Nose was appealing but pretty reticent initially. Plenty of fruit and a somewhat exotic spice profile. Lots of tannin. Feels a bit like a good CDR in a ripe year. I suspect I opened this too early but there’s potential here. 89+

This needs time or some serious air. Even on night three after VinVac, it needed to be poured through the Vinturi to take off the rough edges and start to open it up.

Ripe strawberry, tar, lilac and dry gravel road on the nose. Starts with soft plummy fruit, tar and dried herbs moves to slightly bitter cranberry and raspberry liqueur. Soft and a little muddled. I absolutely loved the 15 of this wine for it's brightness and precision. I don't know if it is just the vintage or if destemming for the first time is the difference but the 16 is not nearly in the same league. Good but not great.

Are you sitting down? You'd better. I am about to tell you about the single best $25 bottle of wine quite possibly on the planet. Just got these last night and was just dying to try this and try I did. Nose of macerated red-black fruits of the medley type. Hard to pinpoint this one, so I won't. I get some cardamom on this; If aggressive on swirl I can spot some soft blueberries. Palate shows you a wine that …

Dinner at Basanti (Basanti) : Bright fruits on the nose. Very glycerin feeling palate. Round and tannic.
