Quarticello Le Mole Malvasia dell'Emilia IGT

Orange and cloudy. Apricotty to bruised apple dried fruit nose with metallic hints, greasy nut tones, varnish, peat smoke and liquorice. Dry, mid-weight palate with quite a bit more grip than fruit. Dried apricot to fig fruit profile. Grapefruity bitterness, tannic astringency and nutty notes. Pretty effervescent to start with but with decanting and some violence the wine got calm enough.
