Teutonic, Crow Valley Vineyard Riesling, Willamette Valley

Very well done. Paired with catfish and it was a nice pairing. Balanced and enjoyable wine that seemed better with food than as a sipping wine. Just the way I like it. Nice complex nose that had everything I was looking for. The palate was nicely complex and the acidity and sugar were in perfect balance. At 9.8% abv I assume there was a good amount of sugar in there but it didn't taste overly sweet. Would buy again.

This does have a Mosel like quality but not near as good as the 2010. I am looking for 2012 to be more worthwhile.

Tangerine, pineapple, jasmine, lanolin and petrol on the nose. Pineapple juice, surges of mineral notes, lime and kiwi. Tasty, good balance of acidity, minerality and sweetness. Great QPR.

Slightly yeasty faint green apple and kiwi nose. Moderate mouth-watering acidity. Initial attack is a slight sweet kiwi, green apple, and yeasty flavor profile that completely coats the entire mouth. Midway through the attach the acidity begins and carries through the finish about 30 seconds later. Much less acid than the Medici and more thirst-quenching.

Enjoyable and thirst quenching! Green apple, citrus, orange peel, and gravel. Decent acidity. Paired well with shrimp tacos. Similar to WA state Rieslings. Well balanced.

The nose is surprisingly Mosel-like, but the palate gives it away, apples, melon, kiwi, mineral, racy acidity. Mouth-watering finish. Smokingly good at $17. If you're exploring new world Riesling you need to check these guys out.

This bottle was consistent with my earlier note. If anything, it's fleshed out a little, but the brisk acidity is still the dominate feature. This bottle certainly isn't going to appeal to a broad range of drinkers (in fact the owner of the shop I bought my bottles from told me that a customer recently returned a bottle convinced that there was something wrong with it, and he told them that actually, that's the way this wine is made). Great nose of red berries, talc, and orchard fruit. Substantial on the palate in the way a Mosel kabinett is substantial, which is to say it almost trends to full-ish even as it glides effortlessly over the palate. The obvious star of the show is the balance, as the bright zing of acidity counterpoints tender fruit flesh. Really nice, not to mention quaffable.

Drank over two nights, with and without food. Color is very light (almost clear, like water). Very bright nose of gooseberries, granny smith apples, and a little citrus in the background. Initial palate shows lots of granny smith apples framed by bracing, spiny acidity. Light to medium bodied on the midpalate. Bone dry.
