Past its prime by a bit, but still worthy. Dark brick color. It smells like blackberry, with hints of cinnamon and chocolate. Flavors of blackberry and chocolate covered cherry. The body is light/medium with a silky texture and long finish. Medium acidity.

Openned this for Thanksgiving and it is a beautiful wine. Jewled Ruby in color. Red Raspberry bouquet with hints of gun metal and pencil shavings. Slightly perfumed and elegant. Palate is elegant and refined. Red Raspberry core persists with a elegant structured mouthfeel. 9/10/9/9/8 - 45/95

Really nice. Cherry on the nose and synthesized now. No hot spots as referenced earlier by others in 2015.

It seemed to be lighter bodied than other Sonoma offerings I've had, which is a good thing. Drinking well now but should continue to hold up for a few more years in the cellar.

Pinots & Chard with The Terroirist (Extra Space) : Poured into decanter and drank over 2 hours. Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour with slight garnet rim. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of dark red cherries, earth, mushrooms. Developed. On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, high alcohol (14.9%!), medium tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet cola, licorice, earth, dark red cherries, truffle, mushrooms, and tea leaves. Medium+ finish. Very good quality. Fruit …

Rich and powerful fruit, kinda massive Pinot. Long and hot finish. Feel the burn.

Thin clear brick color. Cherry on nose. Bit of mineral on the body. Drinks more like a burgundy.

Very well aged with no hint of trouble. Velvet smooth with subtle fruit. Paired well with turkey.

Enjoyed with turkey and the "fixins" on Thanksgiving day. The wine looks crimson colored. Beginning to turn a little lighter shade of red. Looking more like a burgundy than a California Pinot. Still had nice aroma. It smells like Strawberry, and Raspberry. Also, had some fruit, which included strawberry, and Raspberry. A Medium to light medium pinot. The wine has Smooth texture. The wine finishes Short.

No detailed notes. Still going strong. On the nose, resinous red fruit and a bit of cola. On the palate, bigger in style but enough acidity to give it a nice sense of balance. Lush mouthfeel and finish. Paired well with spicy thai chicken, with enough body to stand up to it and a nice hint of sweetness to cut the spice.

Wow. Fantastic. I had three if these and I feared they had all passed. Not even close. Best Pinot I've had in quite some time. I'll hold on to the remaining two until thanksgiving.

I was concerned when discovered that it might be over the hill, but on the contrary I think this may just be peaking with no sign of going OTH. Beautiful, bright red fruits coat the mouth with a nice nose to compliment. After open a couple hours, it developed a slight acidity that provided a nice depth and structure to this wine.

On the nose, deep pinot fruit and an attractive background bacon note I hadn't noticed a month ago. Nicely balanced on the palate...full-bodied but not over the top. Last bottle.

I prefer this to the '05 Pahlmeyer pinot I had the other night. In general, it is less full-throttled and more nuanced. While full-bodied and Cali in style, this doesn't have quite the steroid attack that the 1st bottling does. On the nose, sweet pinot fruit, some cola. Unlike the 1st bottling, this doesn't have the sweet / sour battle going on. It's all about perfumed pinot character, in a quintessential Cali style. Nicely balanced on the palate, in the …

Floral nose that gives way to smokey notes that dominates. Tastes like a Russian River Pinot. Well done!

Drinking much better than last time around. This bottle is not muddled, but rather a nice balance of fruit and acidity. Quite a bit of complexity on a long finish. A touch heat that blows off with air.

Didn't wait that long on the last bottle. This is a solid Pinot - good nose, good color, good taste. Not too much fruit, good balance.

Had two bottles back to back - consistent notes to both. Lots of fruit. Great nose. Had a bottle maybe 6-9 months ago that I thought was poor - very hot. These were much better - notes of blackberry, cocoa...descent finish. Have one left and will give it some more time - seems to be ageing nicely.

In some ways, this has progressed nicely in the last 2+ years since I've last tasted it. In other ways.......? On a positive note - the nose on this remains outstanding. Very aromatic nose - deep, dark, resinous. Heavy. Unfortunately, "heavy" on the palate translates to "slightly muddled". Pleasant enough. A solid drinker but nothing that reaches towards anything more profound. Fruit forward, good depth, but not much complexity. Perhaps my tastes have changed, but this bottle just doesn't have …

Very california style that emphasizes the ripe fruit and barrel characteristics over terroir. The nose is fruity and cola nut dominates with cocoa and vanilla. A touch of dissolved gas. Medium to full bodied, the fruit comes out here, mostly in the form of brandied cherries. Very nice, but not in a style I prefer.
