This was popping for a 2015 pinot - high acid / high fruit (in a good way). Mellowed out a bit on day 2 as you'd expect.

On tasting blind, J said “mmm, jammy” and lol I agree. While obviously not thick texturally it is still very fruit forward with, yes strawberry jam, and surprisingly (maybe owing to diam 30) not really showing anything by way of secondary notes. There’s a bit of tarragon-like spice which I like on the finish, before the heat kicks in (14.4%). Agree with the other review here that calls it flabby. Definitely a dad bod. Goes well with grilled salmon tho.

Medium ruby color, bright and clear. Highly aromatic, with aromas of fig & persimmon, along with secondary sandalwood, star anise, white mushrooms, hibiscus and sage. Ripe, sumptuous red fruit on the palate, showing braised fig and date notes over a dense core of rich clove, sandalwood, damp earth and oolong tea. Medium bodied with smooth, rounded edges, well-integrated acidity, and medium fine-grained tannins, finishing medium-long with rich red fruit and oak spices.

2015 remains my favorite vintage of this wine (after tasting alongside the 2013 & 2014. More recent vintages remain untouched for now). We paired with a very good mushroom risotto. In the glass, this was the darkest and clearest of the 3, and clarity is a good word to describe this wine in all aspects. Some minerality (my sister, who is a labor and delivery nurse, says “activated diaper” but not in a gross way). Orange peel, Asian pear, honeysuckle, …

PNP. Reticent upon opening, but after 30 minutes some bing cherry appeared on nose, low tanins, forest floor, medicinal, thin

Via Courtier's big cellar purchase. This was not to my taste. Insufficient acidity, resulting in a boring flabby wine. I am 0/3 on PGC 2015s which suggests based on other vintages (which I love) that I should avoid WV 2015s as a rule.

Deep ruby color. Primary and secondary expression on the nose - red cherries, clove, tea leaf, hibiscus and autumn foliage; carrying through on the palate in layered depth adding just a hint of sandalwood and minerals. On the attack this is cool-toned and expressive, but not quite wide-open, with compact fleshy density in the middle. Medium well-rounded acidity to the structure, with thick grainy medium tannins, finishing with dry fruit-driven depth and moderate length. Needs 3 to 5 more years, …

Very well done pinot. Struck me as darker and masculine, more four-square than elegant.

Very different from my last bottle. This had a lovely soft earthy funk that just added so much depth on the nose and palate. Definitely ripe with loads of ruby red fruit and a touch of plum. On the palate, excellent acidity, more cocoa and soft plum, long finish. Would love to see some of these with more age

This is in a nice place. Acidity has soften but still providing structure. Trip year, showing some raspberry and strawberry notes. Nice balance though. Really nice Oregon Pinot. Sorry this is my last bottle as there’s still Upside here.

Pop and pour, probably should have decanted. On the nose: cocoa powder, crystalline raspberry and wild strawberry, a suggestion of game and spice. On the palate, expansive, with lovely acidity, wild strawberry, blackberry, vanilla. Nice finely grained tannin, on the very spicy finish. A fantastic, 15 OR PN.

WIML93 Tasted non blind. Garnet to dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of talc, flowers, berries and a hint of cherry. Nice flavors of red berries, cherries and plums. Medium to bright acidity, medium tannin, full bodied. Drink or hold. DAWGS offline

Don't think long term I'm liking the Patricia Green style. Seems overly acidic and thin across several bottlings. That said, this one had an underlying fruit flavor that came through that was much nicer than others. Hope you don't really have to wait until 2022 for best experience. Standing by....

Pop and pour. Initially tasted with food (escarole with garlic and olive oil, in case you were wondering). Poured half into a 375ml bottle for later. Ruby color. Nose offers lots of brown spice and red fruits. Nice high-toned red fruit, berries and pomegranate. Shows the spice element on the back end. Nice acidity. Finished dry. This was enjoyable although not exciting. A fair and decent, well-made wine. There just was not much to excite.

popped and poured. Drank over 2 hours. A bit more on the cherry side of the Oregon spectrum. Nice depth and acidity. Not overly complex. Would drink over the next 5 years or so

No detailed notes. Red fruited, still quite ripe with plenty of “fat” on the palate giving it a plush feel. Nice acidity, but gallows out a bit on transition into the finish. Still needs some time but this still got crushed in 3hrs time—clearly enjoyable now.

tough to appreciate at the moment. tart black cherry immediately after opening, distinct fruit subsided as the overall profile got lean and actually pretty tanninc, a little rough. not in a great place right now, would benefit from a little more time to calm down.

A beautiful balance with all forms of sous bois some tobacco leaf, rain soaked loam and mushrooms interweaving with wild raspberry, strawberry and maybe even some loganberry, amazing pairing with both copper river salmon and pepper crusted ahi tuna.

Pop and pour and tasted with food (roast chicken thighs in a tomato and olive stew, with acini di pepe pasta, in case you were wondering). Deep ruby color. Nose shows some good forest floor and spice elements. rich red ripe fruits with a good spice core and bright acidity that keeps the wine lively. The acidity makes this quite refreshing. There is good fruit in the mix, showing ripe blackberries and pomegranate. Enjoyable.

Willamette Valley Visit - 8/9/17 : Aromas of fig, orange zest, mineral, dried florals, and eastern spice. Beautifully dense and layered on the palate, so much complexity, yet elegant. Adds sweeter spice notes to core of notes consistent from the nose. Medium acidity. Silky fine tannins. Full depth on the finish. Outstanding.

Barrel sample at the winery. Bold and beautiful! Captivating from the first sniff through the last drop. Exceptionally well made, bright, vivacious, and long.
