Paolo Giordano Barolo Perno

Barolo 2025; 7/1/2025-7/9/2025 (Barolo, Italy) : Decently open, ripe cherry berry fruit, hints of tar and licorice. Full bodied, balanced acidity, a bit of wood tannin and vanilla, followed by firm but ripe tannin. Tasty, though felt a bit modern. Good structure to age, may well integrate nicely.

Nose: Mildly sweet, nondescript red fruit. Palate: Silky red fruit, some orange, dash of cayenne, tannins dissipate quickly. Overall this wine was very shy out of the bottle but with a lot of time in the glass, it rounded out nicely.

Dégustation Barbaresco vs Barolo à la Cantinetta di Barun à Neive. Producteur de Monforte d’Alba au style assez brut dans le bon sens du terme. Le nez est intense, profond et naturel à la fois, la bouche est très droite avec de la densité, de la mâche. Belle longueur, on sent un potentiel fort. 92-93
