Stellar QPR. More ballsy than any assumptions about Rioja. Pitch dark purple in the glass. Nose of animal funky meat, flowers, sun drenched stone, warm iodine-y blood, foresty herbs. On the palate, dark black fruit surrounded by fresh berries. Super juicy, and more funky notes coming through. Steady balanced tannin over lush velvet blankets of dark fruit tones. Finishes with hints of chocolate and minty shimmers.
