Vielschichtig und komplex, schon in der Nase. Erinnert entfernt an pinot, ätherisch in der Frucht, dabei generös und fokussiert. Salzige mineralik im Abgang, geschliffenes tannin. Großer trinkspaß aber vermutlich noch größer das Potenzial.

I have almost no experience with portugese reds but I find this pleasurable, reminiscent of some of the finer, lighter aussie I've tried, such as Ben Glaetzer''s top wines. I feel this is good value at 22 euro.

Académie des Cinquante Portugal Tasting (Diner Thuis, The Hague, NL) : Cherries, slightly lactic, spices, modern, floral, fresh, attractive, light flavours, medium body, pure phenolics from the skins. Expensive.

Once again I get that lactic plum and herbal leaf combo that I usually notice in Malbec from the Mendoza. This is still very young and brutish but yes, the parts are all there. It's almost unfair to put a score but it needs time to develop into an outstanding wine. If it ever will. 89+
