WIML88-89 Tasted July 25, 2009 at a retail tasting. Dark garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of blueberries, licorice and black berries. Rich flavors of black berries followed by currants, Bing cherries and bitters on the medium finish. Light to medium acidity, medium tannins, medium body. Drink over the short to medium term (perhaps).

Trick or Treat! (Farpointe Cellar) : The nose had currant, blueberry, blackberry, graphite, and oak. The palate had spice, black currant, blackberry, wood, and smoke.

14%. Dark inky red. Black fruits, tobacco, black pepper, spices. Fragrant. Densely structured, medium short (10sec) finish. Acids and tannin make their presence felt but are balanced. 43% syrah, 43% tempranillo, 14% cabernet. This wine will match well with pretty much most food that suit a red wine. Very good to excellent, excellent QPR. Synthetic cork. Drink up now and up to 2010.
