Under screwcap - maybe that's why this wine seemed so much younger than it was. Nose of blackcurrant cordial and liquid smoke. Light-to-medium-bodied palate, with tight, concentrated fruit: intense blackcurrant cordial, but with a punchy note of red grapefruit acidity punching through.

Dark ruby with brick red hues showing maturity. Nice entry with secondary flavour of exotic spice, olive, herb, anise and dried plum. Some earthy and leather notes build up at mid palate through to a fine subtle finish.
