Not over the top buttery Chardonnay from California, but close. Too much butter and oak for me. Given Miljenko Grgich made the winning Chardonnay for the judgement of Paris, this seems ordinary. I much prefer the mineral, acid and subtle fruit of “cleaner” Chardonnays which are present in France and now in the new world.

Apples, pears, butter, cream and a bit of caramel. The malo and oak are present but well integrated. This is how California Chardonnay should taste.

Very acedic. It takes the whole palate and overpowers the more mineral parts- Grgich has done better.

disappointing, because I really liked it when tasting at the winery. was not corked, but it was much sweeter and less mineral than what I remember from tasting at the winery

Color- faint gold with little tiny bubbles Nose- Citrus with toasty notes (?vanilla and caramel). Palate - Lush, juicy fruit/citrus with moderate body precedes prominent but not overbearing acidity. The flavors include the lemon, with hints of meyer lemon, tangerine, and some toasty notes as well, going back to the caramel and vanilla flavors. Touch of a mild pepper at the end, ? cilantro?

Orange, honey oak and a touch of cat pee on the nose. Pleasant wine.

Pretty good in its old age, but past its prime. Peaches and citrus on the nose. Grapefruit and other minor notes on the palate. The acidity is fading but still held up to dinner well. I was afraid this guy would be dead but was pleasantly surprised.

Color - pale gold, clear, bright. Nose - mixture of citrus (lemon and grapefruit) a mineral quality. Body - moderately heavy, Duration Moderate Palate - Mixture of citrus (lemon and more orange-y than grapefruit on the palate) the mineral quality, and honey. It paired well wit the Asian meal predominately consisting of Thai flavors

OK. Restrained: muted florals, a touch too much acidity, better with food than on its own. Rated 0 on a scale of -1 to 3.

All large barrel, neutral oak and from a block in American Canyon. Subdued aromas of grapefruit and fresh green herbs with very light hints of grass. Terrific mouth-watering acidity. Crisp and clean and very vibrant. Juicy ruby grapefruit flavor. Nice.

- Light gold color with slow forming legs and aromas of grapefruit. It's overly acidic and has flavours of grapefruit with a medium body. Smooth texture with a medium finish - Classic Sauvignon Blanc profile. Citrus, grapefruit. Nice flavor, though s bit on the acidic side for my tastes. The finish is shorter than I'd like it to be. Overall, a nice wine.
