We've experienced significant bottle variation with recent Berlioz offerings, but this altesse was quite lovely. Pure alpine springwater, florals, almonds, and a touch of citrus. Should continue to develop for a few more years.

Buttercup coloured; hayseed, crushed rock, persimmons; subtle, refreshing acidity, genteel tanginess, well weighted; expansive finish, shrill edge to fore. Drink soon.

Like this wine very much. Great aroma of stone fruit. Good acidity but still full in the mouth. Not especially long, but very pleasing. I haven’t had too much Altesse, so I don’t know how it stacks against the variety as a whole, but QPR on this is very good. A quaffer for sure, but one that I’d happily return to.

Made from Altesse grape. This is day 2. Opened and poured a little and decanted for 2.5 h but wasn't able to drink it - poured back to bottle and corked. D2: A: Nutty, apple and citrus aromas with some spice. P: Apples, meyer lemon, bergamott, baking spices, followed by minerals. F: nice lingering finish w fruit, spice, and minerals. Good weight, on the fuller side of body with great acids. Nice.

Good balance between fruity and mineral, richness and acidity. Not very complex, but already very pleasant now.
