God kraftig vin

Alright... so lovely dinner with the ladies and a chilled version of this guy. Not a normal wine we would buy but decided to grab anyway...so here goes. Light watery appearance in glass. Citrus tropical smells to the nose. Heavy pineapple and guava to the palate. Slight oak which was refreshing from a California chard which all tend to be oak bombs. Almost non existent finish...nice but not stellar.

Well balanced chardonnay. Not overpoweringly oaky or buttery. Paired fantastic with seafood, both crab cakes and shrimp skewers.

Smells like bigger fakey oak, but not in a bad way. Does what it needs to do. Creme Brulee.

Aromas like a dirty martini - something must have gone wrong in the winemaking. Very awkward with way too much oak. $13.99 OH retail www.austinbeeman.com

Aromas of straw, grapefruit and some grass. There a flavours of lemon, grapefruit and some slightly sweet oak.

Not a fan very acidic, no oak or butter. Good for a chard drinker that likes it non oaky could see it be nice and crisp on a hot summer day for the right palette.

A pale straw wine with a medium body. The Cartlidge and Browne Chardonnay has a restrained nose with slight lemon citrus and some oak. Plush in the mouth with nice body, with tastes of lemon and supported with hints of green apple and butterscotch. The finish has butterscotch and oak. Nice, but nothing to get excited about.
