Lot of fruit. Black currant, plums, BlackBerry. Oak. Hints of dill. Smooth tannins. Full body. Good balance. Paired well with bacon-wrapped filet of pork and root vegetables. Easy to drink, pairs with food. Worth the price

This is made for the masses. Concentrated and warm, acidity is quite low and it turns maybe a little bit towards sweetness, allthough not overwhealming. Both scent and smell is dominated by heavy oak and vanilla but the good thing is that concentration is up quite good to match it. Typical cabernet like cassis. I dont think balance and elegance are the words here, "more is more" is probably the filosophy behind the wine. Not a bad wine though...

Single blind tasting Purple color with rim clearing Aromatics medium +. Ripe black fruit with a syrup quality. Secondary of chocolate. Moderate oak, but integrated Palate medium +. Acid medium. Tannin medium, gum location. Alcohol medium to medium +, but not apparent until the end. Thick sweet blue and black fruit. Finish has medium length. Balance is off, towards fruit and alcohol. Needs more acid Drink now, as not enough acid to allow improvement over time.

Very fruity on the nose with alot of blackcurrant/cassis. Still fruity on the palate with cassis and a big chunk of oak. Maybe too oaky for my taste. Silky tannins, perfect timing to drink now. Taste less alcoholic than stated on the bottle. Nice wine for the price. Went well with barbeque (sweet and spicy glaze).

I am convinced that Napa valley wines are over priced, so trying a sensibly priced version. This one is from the Oak Knoll area, though not all the grapes are sourced from there. Nor is it a pure cab. Anyhow, I have had this interest in the Stag's Leap and Oak Knoll parts of Napa, which can surpass Rutherford, Oakville and so on. This one is a delight for the price point. Beautiful nose of blackberry. On the palate smooth dark cherry and blackberry with just a hint of vanilla. Pleasant medium tannins. Very good QPR. I would say drink now. I will continue to keep some of this in stock

Deep red colour with a blue red rim. Incipient maturity on the nose showing black currant, oak and with some time in the glass opens up with some liquorice, vanilla fudge and warmer fruitiness notes. Austere tannins on the palate with lots of primary fruit and nice intense fruity sweetness on the finish. (Best 2020-2030)

Tasted over three days, no gas. It was a little tight at first but improved slightly each day. Typical Napa Valley floor quaff, a welcome daily drinker at this price, about $22 at Costco. It doesn’t have the depth some of the recent bottlings have shown but still very likable. Not a long ager, but ideally hold a year or two.

Deep ruby red colour. Medium nose with blackcurrant, cedar, black cherry and black pepper. Medium (+) taste of blackcurrant, black cherry, dark plum, cedar, leather and black pepper. Long and dry finish. Medium acidity. Medium tannins. Full body. A good Californian Cabernet Sauvignon. Goes well with beef or lamb, preferably grilled.

Cherries and wet dirt on the nose, beautiful deep color. Nice oakiness bit of licorice, a little juicy. Develops nicely as it breathes. Medium finish, good tannins. A little tart. Very nice.

This one seems to have a wide price range. One reviewer mentioned $45 and the low wine searcher price is $30 but we found it for $22 on sale at the local Krogers (a long way from Napa). I thought it was a winner at what we paid--plenty of mixed fruit, fine tannins and some herb mixed in. I decanted and drank over three nights and it was consistent.
