nose: red cherry, some heat taste: cherry, light body, plenty of heat throwing it off balance a bit, acidity good, soft oak finish

Nice fruity pinot noir. Paired it with salmon.

Glossy, ruby red fruit pinot noir, with enough acidity, and a bit of sweet char. Not too bad, for the "old school" CA Pinot-fan.

This is an absolutely fabulous wine that express well the Santa Barbara region. It is not Burgundian in style--no mushrooms and must here. It is fresh, fruity, well balanced with tannis and gets better the longer it stays in the glass. I recently ordered, untasted, a case of the Gloria Ferrer 2007 Carneros Pinot--rated a 94. Decent QPR for $15, but still a pass. Lacking on the mid-palate.

Forward aromas of pepper and strawberry; the mouth is a bit rustic, medium body, and slight alcohol in the finish.

This stuff is freakishly good for the price ($15). Ken Brown is the winemaker although he is careful not to put his name on it for the obvious reason that this is almost as good as his own label at less than half the price. If you are a fan of Central Coast Pinot, stock up . . . pronto! Red and black fruit with spicey undertones. Yum, yum.
