Citrus fruits, heather, fresh chestnuts, chocolate, honey, toffees, and white peppers in the floral and fruity nose; caramel, roasted nuts, stewed fruits, and white peppers on the savory palate; long finish; overall all, 91 points for this rather enjoyable whisky.

Straits Wines - Kavalan Whisky Tasting (Straits Wines @ Serangoon) : Tree bark and leaves, and a bit of berry fruits. Savoury, and stone-like. There seems to be a bit of shells as well. Very warm ending though

Straits Wines - Kavalan Whisky Tasting (Straits Wines @ Serangoon) : Savoury spices, bit of greens, cloves. Also, red peppers on the back. Nice oaky and savoury undertone. Dark chocolate and graphite finish

Consistent, dark fruit. Dan thought he was being poisoned it was so high proof

Apple, light, grassy, still clearly higher proof

a clear, pretty gold sheen, with delicate legs; so acidic, till the point of being mouthwatering, strong and intense; banana, mulberry, mango, butterscotch, caramel, almond, buttery macadamia, and feels even somewhat sugary, though it's dry of course; very enjoyable, but not something that can be taken in high volume given the hot burnish alcohol, and it's potent ability to blur the senses

Just great. On a warm night to to soak in the love with its warm welcome smotth whisky and sugary bourbon sweet finish. One more drink at Tycoon Tann, HK.

A new favorite in the Solist range. The antithesis of the wine cask finishes. This is all gorgeous restrained tropical yellow fruit. A desert island whiskey in the sense you couldn't get tired of it.

Tropical fruit, mango

Clean mango, pineapple, and tropical fruit flavors. So interesting because it's night and day different than their delicious but heavy handed wine cask finishes. So clean. Just love it.

Holy crap. Medium copper color. Refined, rich, dominating, large and complex. Not a whisky for the faint of heart. Tropical fruit. Mango. No peat. Spice. Cigar box, older wood, oxidative Sherry notes and red fruit. Caramel. Maple. Tobacco. Dried fruit. Huge oak. Goes on forever. Massive. Hendonistic but wonderful.
