This is clearly in a much better spot than when others have tasted it. It was excellent on PnP And enjoyed with charcuterie and pesto. It is excellent value for $20 a bottle. Medium body and finish with good fruit notes likely augmented from the cab and Syrah elements rounding out the Sangiovese structure.

Hmm initial massive disappointment, nothing like a sangiovese... my bad! It's a bordeaux blend, so makes a hell of a lot more sense. decent quality, good steak wine but i still prefer bordeaux in this case.

PnP and followed for a few hours. Red and black cherries, blueberries, citrus rind, green herbs, damp earth, and graphite on the slightly shy nose. Red cherries, plums, tart cherries, earth, herbs, and hint of aged barrel on the palate. Tart acidity, fine but quite present tannins, moderate finish. There's some bitterness that fades after 30 minutes or so. Overall, I really liked this. It was interesting, fun to drink, and great with food.

Color: Medium ruby. Nose: A bit subdued. Slightly fruity. Mouth: Medium bodied. Slightly bitter finish. Some cherries and red currents. Good expressiveness and length. Better after some aeration.

Appearance: Fine crimson red, not very reflective, leaves a thin residue on the glass with small bubbles Aroma: Spices and red fruits, tickles the nose lightly, pomegranate and dark cherry, watermelon Texture: VERY dry, lingers long on the front of the tongue, heavy, grainy texture that washes past quickly Taste: Texture covers up a lot of the taste for me, will revisit some day, but definitely has the lingering taste of stone fruits This wine is a cold, stone cellar …

Said to be a blend of 30% Sangio, 30% CS, 20% Syrah & 20% Merlot & tiny % of CF. I opened & slow-oxed for 2-1/2 hrs prior to dinner in a couple glasses. This was pretty mellow with just enough zip to distinguish it from most CA Cab blend thanks to the Sangiovese & terroir. A solid week might red fun to try with burgers. Not racing out for more but liked it for $20 locally. The rest of …

For some reason smelling really great to me. Tart, almost with some VA (but that must be me). And a bit built up, which feels correct to me, and also my palate for the day - dry, tannic palate todya.

On the second day, the sulphur smell I noted yesterday is gone. Interestingly, the Sangiovese is now much more prominent. Had it with cheese plate. Next bottle I will decant for a few hours or open a day earlier.

Popped and poured. It had a sulfury smell, needs some air to breathe. I used the vintury, this seemed to help a bit. Not much of sangiovese going on, cab is more dominant, as noted by others. Rather light wine. Had it with pasta. Will retry tomorrow after more air exposure.

Medium ruby. Black cherries, blueberries, spice nose/palate. Quite acidic and a little astringent at the moment. Quite well balanced. I think this will improve over the next year or two.

Marred by reduction. Some crunchy bright fruit underneath but it’s knocked back; quaffable but nothing special vs other wines at this price. Not showing a huge amount of origin.

Dark ruby red in color. Black cherry, pepper and black fruit on the nose. Smooth, fruit forward and not complex. Low acidity. If there is sangiovese in the mix, I certainly dont pick it up as the international varietals dominate on the nose and palate. Good value.

Perfectly good vino di tavola. Neither exciting or disappointing--just a nice, acidic red to flush your palate...particularly if you are having a dish with tomato sauce.

Blend of 50% Sangiovese and 50% Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah Medium body, bright garnet color. Intense ripe fruits, black pepper and leather aroma combined with plum and blackberry palate, and nice slightly earthy but juicy finish. Rich, complex and balanced wine, lovely acidity and silky tannins. Tua Rita never disappoints. Food friendly, best match is ravioli with white porcini sauce. Serve 16C - 20C. Open at one hour ahead. Drink now while young and next four/five years.

Deep dark reddish-purple in color; almost opaque. Full, fragrant & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of blackberries, dark cherries & plums with overtones of earthy/dusty & some floral notes, dried herbs, cocoa, spices, minerals & vanilla notes in the background. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with cocoa, spices, herbs, minerals & a touch of vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with …

Bought this and a few sub-$20 others recently to see if any might be good QPR to stock for mid-week drinking. one day #1, this was lean on the palate and a bit clipped in the finish. Somewhat better on day #2, but its still not a repeat buy. several Chiantis are better for the same price.

Light floral nose of herbs, leather a little mint and tobacco. The palate is equally light, with a reasonably fruity, sour strawberry entry and bitter finish. This is pretty rustic and I think better value is had with the perlato del bosco. Too astringent on opening, this mellows out into a very quaffable Tuscan. 88

Gobs of oak, vanilla, and more oak on the nose. Tried to air out the glass for more than 2 hrs so as to appreciate the fruit. Soft and sweet merlot, hint of plum, quite different from the off-putting aroma of toasted oak.
