So so nice. Purple with pink rim. On popping, nose is not yet flowing. Blood and meat balanced well with Garrigue, sweet red fruit and kirsch. Smoke. Touch of hospital disinfectant, orange, rose and other blossoms. On palate, alcohol, red and blue fruit. Fresh and well balanced with acid. Bit of blood. Rose. Ashes. Touch of cola in finish showing this is getting to a more tertiary phase. Compelling Rhone palate.

Still fresh, full, and vibrant. Balanced with long finish. Puchased at the estate in March 2010 and stored properly when in Germany and Oklahoma. Had two good years left for certain - could've held until Christmas 2020.

Properly grown up Gig Complex with lovely high tone ripe fruit I do like these 2008s Very immediate and no real need to decant Feel honoured to have Louis Barruol as a friend.

Deep purple with pink rim. Clearly youthful. Lots on the nose. Kirsch, red and blue fruits, leather, garrigue and other dried herbs, roses, blood. On palate, tight. Red cherry alcohol dominates but there's loads of blue fruit under what is still a monolithic structure. Graphite on palate and tannins are dry. High alcohol. Long finish of blue fruits and cherries. Settled down after being recorked overnight. Should improve loads with time. Drink 2016 and after. Has enough fruit to last …

This wine was a real treat! HUGE notes of graphite, fig cake, fresh muddled blackberry, raspberry and basil, followed by perfumed notes of lavender and sagebrush, just a touch of pepper, straw and flowers filled the glass when empty. Very rich and brooding but balanced and true to the region. A hedonistic wine for sure but not overdone. Very complex wine. Would love to try this with some more age on it. Went well with Osso Bucco and saffron risotto.

Smoky bouquet with toasted oak and minerals. On the palate the wine is still locked, but it hold a promise. There are black fruits, toast, minerals, soft tannin and elegant acidity. The wine is more complex than the also beautiful Hominis Fides. Wait until 2015 or 2016.

- Crimsom color and has flavours of peach with a medium/full body.
