A nice ruby color to this Cab Franc. On the nose: raspberry puree, red fruit, and some astringency. On the palate: plumb, blackberry, blueberry, and a slight bit of leather. The body is medium. Finish is medium, and bit tannic. Altogether, the balance of this wine is pretty spot on. While I enjoyed it more with a seasoned steak, it still held it's own later in the evening after dinner. Medium deep intensity red ruby color, opaque, with medium to high viscosity. On the nose, red and black fruits that matches the palate, jam, fresh. Oaked. Dry medium to full bodied with medium acidity and tannins. Short finish.

This has the proper profile of cassis and bell pepper notes for the cab franc. Good balance also of tannins and acidity. Medium bodied and clean, but seems a bit sterile since I’m accustomed to a bit of chew and funk in my Loire reds.
