Absolutely gorgeous!!! This time - Fresh milk along with chocolate vanilla black fruit nuance aromatics and graphite spice minerality along with the TN as shared earlier. Purity of fruit is extra-terrestrial.

Okay, I pulled the trigger on this juuuuuust a bit soon but BA BOOM! Decanted for two hours and ate with a big hearty meal. Plum, black currant, very fruit forward and oh full-bodied! Probably has 97-98 in it but I really wanted to try. Just plain yummy!!

Deep garnet vibrant purple color. PNP- Classic G III fresh aromatics. Full of baking spices, vanilla, chocolate, black fruit, graphite, slate, new leather, & zesty. [After one hour of decant vanilla cream appears] The nose (as described) really transformed into the medium to full bodied palate. Once you open the cork you get the barrel cabernet freshness. And each sip is captivating and alluring. So coming back to the palate—well integrated oak, vanilla, chocolate, baking spices, blackberries, ripe dark berries, …

Celebrated my daughter’s birthday with a blind tasting of a 2018 Diamond Creek Red Rock Terrace, a 2009 Vieux Chateaux Certan and a 2021 Vice Versa Georges III. All three wines showed very well, with the Diamond Creek earning WOTN. The VCC was by far the most refined of the group, the VV clearly the most gripping and powerful, with the DC showing amazing complexity. My thoughts going forward are that the VV needs to be held for a few …

Great right now. I mean, it’s the friendly GIII, so how could it not be?! Concentration and balance are especially notable in 2021, with a refinement that really showcases a sophisticated side of uber yummy fruit that envelops and enlivens the palate. Chocolate covered cherries, with a spit of mineral notes keeps everything in check without getting too juicy. With air, it becomes more even keeled and higher riding, signaling a call for some additional bottle age. It won’t take …

A step up the complexity and structure level from the Spinning Plates, this continues the dark fruit and secondary notes (dark chocolate, earth, rocky minerality) profile but with more structure. A bit oaky, which I noticed here more than the other SVDs, and less delineated. Perhaps will get to a place relatively more interesting to me with time, but at the moment, trailing its brethren by a bit. I’d hold for now. 94+

Tasted with Samantha - I believe all wines received about a 6 hour decant. This wine was very good, but seems to lack the pizzazz of its brethren. It may just need more time to shed some of its baby fat and come together. VV signature dark cherry and dark chocolate core, with some tar, graphite and spice. For me, this seemed the least developed of the wines in the VV stable, but still has loads of potential. 94 today, …

Very fortunate to experience all 2021 Vice Versa wines blind along with CSIMM1161. The bottles had been open for about 5 hours and all the wines continued to get better with air. I managed to guess half of these correctly, but it’s quite a lift to distinguish them all. This vintage is more serious than 2019, with elevated tension, freshness, and overall complexity. These are not pop and pour, so if drinking in the next 10 years, I suggest a …

Napa, Sonoma, San Francisco (Sinskey, Vin Fraiche, Caldwell, Memento Mori, Almacerro, Vice Versa, Bruliam, Littorai, B Cellars, Impensata, Di Costanzo, Morlet); 10/2/2022-10/8/2022 (Napa, Sonoma and San Francisco) : Tasted at Wheeler Farms. Obviously super young and not ready to drink yet but was decanted before we arrived and showed well enough for us to purchase. Can't wait until it ships and gets some age on it!
