A enthusiastic rec at my local store led to giving this a try. Unfortunately, for the wine we opened & shared it with Ana, Josh and the 2 grandboys on the deck w/ takeout pizza. The ensuing bedlam prevented me from giving this much consideration. Upside, glad I didn't waste a BdM on a night where family fun ruled. Our 4 & 7yr old grandboys dictated the pace:). mostly exuberant black cherry, vs red; loamy soil; good nearer term. warm Marcella bean salad, treviso, soppressata picante, burrata di bufala

Medium nose shows earth, dirty cherry, leather, forest. Palate gives nice spice, dried red fruits, fresh leather, structure does well, nice food wine style.
