Consistent with earlier notes, this is still showing beautifully - well balanced with an extremely focused profile of smokey pear and wet rocks. Really amazing how this modest wine has developed over the years. Great bottle that is punching miles above its weight...

As I suspected this just needed more time to unfurl. Beautiful middleweight profile of pear, lemon, smoke and mineral. Very well balanced, alcohol is undetectable. Just a great unoaked cali chardonnay that is drinking perfectly at the moment.

Drinks much better on night two, giving green apple on the nose and restrained notes of pineapple and lemon on the palate; well balanced and almost creamy in the mouth with a very respectable finish. Not complex, but well made in a more reserved style - hard to believe that its 14%+. Definitely improved from my last bottle, curious to see if my last 2 bottles continue to improve.

Clean, crisp, clear. No oak but perhaps some malolactic and some yeast. Green apple and some citric acid. Nice clean lemony finish, but a little flabby. Fairly simple, not exactly magical but quite nice and steal for the price. This should be the house chardonnay all over the place. B-

Not as good as past vintages, but a well made chard in a more European style. Shame it's topped with a plastic cork as it would be fun to see what happens with a few years in the bottle. Amazingly, there was no evidence of the 15+% …
