Pnp and drank over 2 days. Better than I expected. Very nice blackberry and blueberry nose with depth of leather and cedar initially. Palate showed good balance and bouncy acidity. Tannins are fine given the age. Chocolate is much more present on the palate. Paired twice with steak and crying tiger sauce, the wine did a good job of boosting the meatiness and texture of the steak and showed some pepper but not a lot. Not mind blowing, but the …

PnP, but better after about 15 minutes of air. The color was a medium to dark purple. Lots of dark fruit (blackberry, black cherry) along with some earth on both the nose and the medium to plus bodied palate along with some spice. The acidity was juicy and there was just a touch of tannin on the finish. Will probably hold a while longer.

Needed some aeration, after which the fruit came through. A bit musty but otherwise pleasant. Not really worth the price.

Decanted two hours; probably could have benefited from another two A lot less fiery than three years ago, nice balance, oak notes dissipated quickly, tar has given way to dark berries and sage. Drink with camembert

Upon opening, the wine was super dark in color, and very closed down in taste. It needed at least half a day to start singing. The wines energy in the mouth was still towards the back, as the finish was oaky. With the oak, came tastes of cocoa, vanilla, and espresso. The fruit tastes began as very dark, blackberry and black cherry. It lightened up a bit to include red fruits, and maybe just a tiny hint of blueberry? This …
