Domaine la Louvière Malepère L'Empereur

Nice clean closure. Colour is deep dark ruby with a hint of garnet when decanting. Nose is black fruit, forest fruit with a hint of oak. Palate has the fleshiness of merlot, the stalky green of cab franc and tannins from the malbec. Surprisingly accurate to the cepage. Still quite young, this is a quality wine bought ex-chateau in 2019. This AOP is hardly on the radar but well worth a look at if you can find it.
