The cork was protruding by about 5mm (it was like that when I bought it) and it had a hint of sherry like oxidation but still a very nice wine. Had it with thai food and one of the creamy coconut dishes really worked to bring out the creaminess of the wine. The oxidation was not noticeable after the first few sips. Lacks the acidity to make it a great food wine but that does make it a pleasurable quaffer. …

Mid golden hue, very expressive petroleum notes and residual white flowers. Initially light bodied but interesting taste, off dry rather than distinctly sweet, but there's insufficient acidity to keep it going, leaving a rather flat taste behind. This was modest to start with but now over the hill.

Mid gold. Plenty of petrol notes, also apples and honey. Decent acidity to give some backbone. Medium length. Very drinkable. Good for its age and weight really but not amazing. Perhaps suffered from the Prum that followed.

Wine Education Service - Mature German Riesling from Weingut Michal Schäfer (Imperial College) : Light gold. Mineral, typical Riesling nose, very attractive, better than simple. Just off dry, high acidity, slightly oily, smooth, pleasant, au point.

Surprisingly youthful really. Colour still only light gold, touch of green. Hints of petrol but mainly flowers and honey with ripe apples on top. Medium acidity. Medium length. Not outstanding in itself except for its youthful quality but very pleasant indeed.

Fine light gold shot with green. Nose fairly reticent - citrus and honeyed flowers, hint of petrol. Lots of lime and fine honey flavours, real slat touches too. Fine acidity. Decent length. Holding up well and drinking beautifully in the summer evening.
