Domaine Guillemarine Picpoul de Pinet

A little spritz helps this wine really coat the palate with some distinctive, tasty, honey laced flavors. Somewhat rustic. Really dark golden color. Floral aspects on the nose. Has nectarine, honey, and melon flavors. At least medium bodied. Maybe slightly oxidized. The spritz, and the acid work almost perfectly on the approach, cleansing, then refreshing. There is a chalky minerality that lingers on the finish for more than a minute.

Some papaya and citrus notes on the nose with slight effervescence. Racy acidic palate with a firm rocky, mineral backbone. Pleasent citrus and apple notes. The finish is refreshing, crisp, and tart. For $13, an excellent value.
