sweet and fruity, plum and spice. This is pretty smooth. Enjoyable but lacking the oomph of some 2011 LBVs which seemed a step up.

Crimson, prunes, blackberries, black cherries, blueberries, wood smoke; black cherry, plummy, chocolate, medium body, good heat, ripe grainy tannins, decent finish. Lots of primary fruit, needs aging to develop secondary flavours and smooth out. Would have liked a longer finish. Paired well with dates.
