{screwcap} All passionfruit and apricot. Scarcely a whiff of ‘traditional Marlborough’ to be seen. The palate is better than the nose; there’s a tart freshness that calls for some seafood, and a stony base to the wine which does offer a little proper gooseberry. For more assertive and less sweet than the nose suggests. Not much weight past the mid-palate though.
