Rock dust, lead, dried herbs, warm tar, underbrush on the nose -- more of a savory nose. The palate reveals some sour cherry, and bright acidity and medium+ tannins. It's good, maybe missing some of the depth of fruit. About the price I'd expect to pay here.

Fairly typical aromas, well representative of the vintage; in the dark red fruit spectrum. The medium/medium(+) body is juicy, rich, and the finish is long-ish, and satisfying. This is likely to improve a little from here; 35k bottles produced. 14,5% abv., drink 2020-2028. (87-89) https://www.italianwinereviews.com

Popped and poured one hour ago. Nice, pretty color, and fairly translucent. Aromas are fairly light this year, showing some slight red berry notions, briar, and just the slightest bit of gravel dust. Palate is medium in body, showing some rich fine strawberry flavors, but it's all covered in fine gravel bits worth of tannin. The tannin and acidity begin building quickly if one is to hold this in the mouth. There's just the slightest bit of anise with aeration. …

Nice red cherry and strawberry with some spicy notes to it. Decent finish. Good wine for the price point.

Enjoyable for the cost particularly. Nice fresh fruit with decent structure and balance but fairly straightforward. Not lean or cheaply fruity. No heavy spicy or mineral notes to get in the way. I've had better for the price but this one was decent and I enjoyed drinking it.

Aromas are quite hefty, definitely showing some of that 14.5% alcohol noted. The aromas are of model airplane glue, graphite, cherry, and light bits of tar. Pulling the glass away my nostrils still burn a bit. Palate entry is very nice and soft, with thick red fruited notes of ripe strawberry, some puckering acidic tar notes, graphite, and I seem to get a sense of wood (but of course no new wood on this wine). Nice minerals and acid on …

Cherry, woody, straightforward, not bad but not something I'd come back to.

great value quaff. doesnt have enough fruit to hold up for long but solid structure. Two-hour decant will reveal broad flavors for the entire palate.

Medium ruby. Forward cherry fruit, mouthcoating with good volume. Ripe, manageable tannins. Much simpler and fruit driven than the '07 Brunello, but a good gulp.
