Very tertiary with mushroomy umami initially that faded as other flavours opened up - some dried red cherry and some cola. Acid seemed a little sharp, this bottle wasn't quite as well balanced as the previous one, but still a good wine and a fun one to share with people who haven't tried 20+yr old Aussie Pinot.

Super savoury and umami, like fried mushrooms, is the dominant character. Some dried red fruit and a cedary fresh hint of stalks, I assume from some whole bunch fermentation. Firm acid. This bottle was in great condition but I think the wine was just a bit too lean, a bit more generosity or ripeness to the fruit might have made this something exceptional.

I heart duck and pinot (Bishop Sessa, Crown Street) : Stalks sour red cherry, cranberry, sweet spice, wet, warm, medium minus intensity flavoured fruit ,light weight tannins.
