Purlieu Cabernet Sauvignon Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard

Very dark purple color, high viscosity, dark berry and cedar on the nose. Currant, dark berry on the palate. Medium to full body and a long finish.

Delicious Full body very fine tannins.

A fabulous wine tonight. I get classic aromatics of lead pencil, blackberry fruit and cassis. What ? At this price this represents some great value. Love the Purlieu wines (all of them). This is no different.

Decanted for an hour plus then consumed over the next three. A very good bottle of wine, but not one that would alter my early impression that this is the weakest vintage in a while. Consistent from entry to finish, the fruit feels older than expected, and the structure is nicely balanced. It is an appealing bottle if not particularly compelling at this point.
