Served low-mid60’s F through vinturi Appealing light body, very easy drinking, bottle obviously too small (should have been a litre:)) Feels enough acidity to hold fora few years yet

Decanted two hours, served cool Restrained fruit on front, leading into light pepper and a hint of tar on the finish. Development over last two years indicates some interesting potential in the next two

Medium bodied with pepper emerging late from dark red fruit. Lovely balance, relatively low alcohol level (13.3%) making for easy food pairings

Tight on earlier tastings this wine is really starting to hum. Brilliant purity and finesse. Red berries, plum, herbs, rubber. Long finish.

Decanted two hours Savoury elements weighing more than fruit at this stage. Spice and body enough to partner with spicy Basque chicken. Opens out to more black fruit with Brie

Northern Rhone Reds (Seattle, WA) : Tasted blind. Sweet fruit, violets, black cherry, and flowers. Bright purple, almost neon colored. Soft, lush and approachable -- lots of fruit, and finishes with light, fine tannin. Very nice, though young and perhaps a bit simplistic at this stage.

13.3% abv indicates this is not a typical Wa syrah.... Dark garnet in glass Smoke, eucalyptus on nose Spicy tannins; long and savoury with delayed pepper effect. Mountain herbs. Delicious
