In a great spot still.

Nice Tuscany coast sangiovese. New oak sensations. Full body, medium acidity and smooth tannins.

Medium-lite red color. Red berries and black pepper on the nose. Raspberry notes dominate with plenty of strawberry laced with good amounts of black pepper. Drunk at Ristorante Stendhal in Milan, Italy.

Initially intense reduction that disappeared after a couple of hours in the decanter. Then a lovely sangiovese nose at the Brunello di Montalcino side of the spectrum, with dark cherry, coffee, chocolate, earthiness and leather. Mid-bodied with silky tanins, rich fruit and balancing acidity. Really a pleasure to drink after the funk was gone. Reminiscent of a Brunello with less concentration and complexity.
