Pelassa Langhe Corte Enrichetta

Very good for what it is. A pleasant blend of Nebbiolo and Barbera, it has body and a little finesse.

Beautiful red/dark brick red color. Scent with violets, blackberries and a bit of cherry, beautiful structure and nuanced freshness with a great pleasure factor. Mooie rode/donker baksteenrode kleur. Geur met viooltjes, bramen en beetje kers, mooie structuur en genuanceerde frisheid met groot plezierfactor.

Needs much more time. Has a mineral taste. Even after Decanting for an hour with a few hearty swirls. Its a food wine.

50/50 blend of Nebbiolo and Barbera. Still young - it took a full 2 hrs to balance out after opening. I’ll wait a year or so prior to opening the next one and then decant. High acidity at first along with being disjointed. After a couple hours the Barbera started rounding out the palate and the wine started to show off what it may become. My favourite Pelassa. Plum and cooked fruit aroma with a hint of cherry. Medium tanin and full-bodied that pair well with almost any food beside the richest of stew and lightest of raw fish. We even had this with lobster linguine (because we ran out of white!) and it brought out so much of the lobster flavour instead of overwhelming it.
